Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information RandNext processes when you use the website, its generators and the public API.

Information you enter into tools

Most interactive generators run in your browser. Their inputs and generated results are not sent to RandNext unless a feature clearly requires an online request.

• Generated passwords, PINs, tokens, UUIDs and similar secret values stay in your browser and are not included in analytics events.
• Picker and wheel lists are saved in your browser’s local storage only when you choose “Remember this list”.
• Password settings may be saved locally so the tool can remember your preferences. Generated passwords are not saved.
• Jokes, quotes, questions and words are requested from the RandNext API. Recently shown item IDs may be kept in session storage to reduce repeats during that browser session.

Analytics and performance data

RandNext uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand aggregate usage and site performance. These services may process page paths, referrers, approximate location, browser and device information, timestamps, feature events and Web Vitals. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies and does not associate analytics data with a persistent identity across websites.

Custom usage events contain tool names, action types, option categories or content IDs. They are designed not to include free-form text you enter or generated secret values.

API requests and content reports

• The public API uses IP addresses as short-lived rate-limit identifiers. Standard hosting and security logs may also contain request metadata such as IP address, user agent, requested URL and response status.
• When you report content, RandNext stores the content ID, selected reason, time of the report and a one-way keyed hash of your IP address. The raw IP address is not stored in the report record.

Email

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include. We use it to respond, investigate the request and maintain necessary support records.

Cookies

RandNext does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Browser local storage and session storage are used only for the tool preferences and session behavior described above.

Service providers

We use service providers to host the site, deliver analytics and performance measurements, operate rate limiting, store application data and receive email. They process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.

Retention and your choices

Local and session storage can be cleared through your browser. Server-side records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including security, abuse prevention, support and legal obligations.

You may request access to or deletion of personal information that we control by contacting us. We may need enough information to identify the relevant record and verify the request.

Children

RandNext is a general-audience site and is not directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site or its service providers change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
