FAQ

How do we show the draw on the big screen?

After you lock the draw you get a private presenter link. Open it on the laptop connected to the screen, go full screen, and press Space or the Draw button for each prize. Names roll for a few seconds, then the winners appear one by one.

Can someone win more than one prize?

No. Each prize is drawn from the people who haven’t won yet, so everyone wins at most once.

How do employees know it wasn’t rigged?

The list and the prizes are locked and signed before the party. When you press Draw, the result depends on the next round of the drand public randomness beacon, which nobody can know in advance — not you and not RandNext. The record page shows everything needed to recompute each prize, and anyone can check it in the verifier.

Do I have to put real names in the list?

Use whatever your team recognizes — nicknames, first names or employee numbers. By default the full list stays private: the record shows only how many people took part and the winners.

What if the laptop restarts in the middle of the draw?

Open the presenter link again. It picks up where you left off, and prizes already drawn stay drawn.
